  Well that stands to reason since there are about 6 million JWs worldwide (and many of those are living double lives) then the remainder of the global population doomed to destruction (according to JWs) would be billions.
  

  I tell you if they are right and there is a God that would kill billions (especially in the gruesome manner depicted by JWs) then I certainly don't want a part of an evil God like that. Can you imagine kissing ass to a God like that for a thousand years (or for all eternity for that matter) after watching the slaughter of billions? How could one possibly be happy in a paradise built on the slaughter of billions ? Truely disgusting and reprehensible...but hey, it sells books and gets that estate money rollin' in doesn't it.

  I have been an on and off Prince fan since the early eighties. His style of music is certainly unique and I have been able in the past to appreciate some of his music. I think it's good to see him back trying to put out something of quality for his audience.

  What I find very peculiar though is all these rumours of him being a convert to the JW faith. Maybe true, maybe not but I can't help but wonder: If it is true that he is now a JW the video is very contrary to his faith. For instance, and without dissecting the whole video, just the last scene where the girl blows up the airport killing families in the waiting area for fundamentalist religious reasons. Then it rewinds and shows her taking a possible different course of action where she has a moment of comapssion and empathy (sheddiing a tear) and chooses not to destroy the public.

  I wonder how a recording artist who puts out a video such as this one could possibly belong to a religious cult that believes God will perform an act much like this girl only on an even larger scale killing billions of people (many of which their only crime is to not be one of the 6 million JWs) ?

  If he is a JW, I wonder how long he will last living a paradox of feelings. Could you imagine him doing ainterview on MTV where the interview comments on the video but then asks him how he justifies it considering his own JW beliefs of mass distruction. His music career could be ruined by something like that.

  One of my colleagues went to the rainforest for a vacation thinking that it would be adventurous - it was. He also mentioned that it rained every afternoon in quantities that astonished him. Other than that he had a good time.

  Well I think you have good instincts here SP....and BTW, I wish you much success with college. You are very lucky...once in a while I still miss my college days.....really enjoyable times. What a routine too: Wake up, work out, eat, get smart, eat, get smarter, homework, party, sleep, repeat.

  What he is saying there is not beyond the realm of possibility except perhaps the part about 20-25 of his JW close childhood peers being execs in major corporations - that is clearly a lie in my opinion. I do work in the financial sector and I am at the executive level. I also deal daily with many other executives both in my company and outside of my company. On a yearly basis I probably interact face to face with no less than 200 Chairmans and/or C.E.O.s; most of which lead publicly traded companies. Most are if not all are too gentlemanly and outwardly humble (at least publicly) to talk down to others in the manner that this individual does in part of his post. If he is who he says he is with his attitude and arrogance he will surely have his butt handed to him by the big boys in business sooner or later.

  I just checked out the site. Looks to me like sites my son used to visit when he was in his 12 year old "pimpin' phase". Bunch of children with nothing constructive to do in their lives wasting their time with s*** talk and make believe.

  Dear Vicki,

  You are strength and inspiration for many others. It seems (to me) entirely unfair and unreasonable that you would have to feel that you need to justify your actions. I think newyorkbethel was trying to do some let's play Devil's Advocate but clearly he does not recognize what is involved here nor does he understand what it is like to be in your shoes (unfortunately niether does your siblings). Your absolutely right Vicki the courts are extremely slow and take years (especially the way the JWs use their money to drag it) and that is not your fault.

  I can't imagine what this nonsense is about oh it's taking so long - well who cares? It affects you more than them. It sounds to me like they are more concerned with their own feelings of shame. Well I hope they read this thread because it's time for them to grow up and be a stand up person and do the right thing. It's just pathetic, the lack of support from them, and it is their problem not yours Vicki. You do not need to justify your pursuit of justice for your abuser.
